With great sponsors on board for this
year’s “Go for the Green” Daytona 500 party at Changing Times
Pub and Changing Times Ale House, the media wasn’t going to be
too far behind. This year’s party will feature representatives
from WBAB 102.3, Long Island Press, News 12, and Full
Throttle Hot Rod Magazine. This year’s party is turning out
to be our biggest yet.
WBAB’s Director of Marketing & Promotions,
Jason Steinberg, got on board on day one. Jason, along with
Promotions Manager, Scott Benji, put together some great
advertising spots, which have been airing all week on WBAB
102.3. The spots highlight the “Go for the Green” Daytona 500
party, as well as all the charities involved. Weekend jock,
Steady Eddie, helped voice the spots. Eddie along with Scott
Benji will attend this weekend’s party and help with the Chinese
auctions being offered at both venues. In addition, the WBAB
102.3 street team will be on hand, giving away some great WBAB
goodies.
Grab a copy of the Long Island Press
this Thursday, February 14. Inside there will be an article
about the “Go for the Green” Daytona 500 party. Long Island
Press’ sports writer, Josh Stewart, will be on hand for the
party, and will have a follow-up next week highlighting the
event.
News 12 Long Island’s Sports Director,
Michael Coleman will feature the “Go for the Green” Daytona 500
party in this week’s “What’s to Do on Long Island” segments.
Full Throttle Hot Rod Magazine will
also be making an appearance this year at the “Go for the Green”
Daytona 500 party.
Many Long Island race car drivers will be
in attendance, including: nine-time Track Champion & 1994 NASCAR
Whelen Modified Tour champion, Wayne Anderson; 1998 Riverhead
Modified champion, Howie Brode; 2006 Riverhead Modified
