Acting EEKR
President Dave Brigati added an additional EEKR practice to the
schedule this past Sunday, and the added date proved to be a
success. The sun was shining and temperatures were in the
mid-50s. Veteran karters took advantage of the extra opportunity
to tune their equipment in, while new drivers were able to get
more seat time before next weekend's scheduled season opener.
EEKR karts
will have their final preseason practice this coming Saturday,
April 5th. Gates will open at 9 a.m., with practice from 11 a.m.
until 5 p.m.
The first
scheduled EEKR race for the 2008 season will take place the
following day, Sunday, April 6th. Gates will open at 7:30 a.m. A
drivers' meeting will be held at 9 a.m., with practice, heat
races and mains to follow. After the day's events have been
completed, there will be a non-points money race for the Medium
class, sponsored by WPW Growers of Calverton.
