Round three of the 2008 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Barbara and Jim Cromarty's Riverhead Raceway will be another action packed seven-division program this Saturday evening May 17th. The Late Models will spotlight the show running a 50-lap, double point race, while the Blunderbusts will go 30 circuits.

Opening night winner Roger Oxee of Peconic will look to continue his early season success in his brand new Late Model and the all-time leading winner of the division is sure to face some stiff competition. Among those Oxee will have to contend with are Kevin Metzger, Scott Kulesa, Tom Rogers Jr., Peter "Buzzy" Eriksen, Jarrod Hayes and Doug Wholey.

Two-time defending Blunderbust champion Tommy "The Wildchild" Walkowiak of Ridge will be the driver all the Blunderbust competitors will have to try and out gun. Walkowiak, who also won on opening night, will have to keep his eyes on the likes of Ed Mistretta, Scott Maliszewski, Chris Busick, Joe Pingitore, Ray Shannon, Doug Watson and Bill Wegmann.

Rounding out the busy race program will be the NASCAR Modifieds, Figure Eights, Chargers, Super Pro Trucks and Legend Race Cars. Tim trials for the Late Models will be at 4:30 pm with all other qualifying where necessary to follow. Feature event racing is set for 5:30 pm.
