The third doubleheader weekend of the 2008 season at Barbara
and Jim Cromarty's Riverhead Raceway is all set for June 14th
&15th with a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program Saturday
evening and a full slate of Enduro racing set for Sunday,
Father's Day.
The Late Models and Figure Eights will compete in their
second extra distances races on Saturday. 50-laps will be run
for the Late Models, while the Figure Eights go 25, both
carrying double points. Time trials will determine the starting
grid for the Late Models. The NASCAR Modifieds, Blunderbusts and
Super Pro Trucks will round out the stock car portion of the
show.
The East End Karting club will conduct their annual
exhibition Saturday evening, as they showcase their talents that
are displayed some 16 Sundays during 2008.
Sunday afternoon the Legend Race Cars return for their first
race since Memorial Day weekend complimenting a full slate of
Enduro racing featuring the Grand Enduro. Also set for action
will be the 4/6-Cylinder trucks, 8-Cylinder, 6-Cylinder and
4-Cylinder Enduro races. A Car Rollover Contest and One-On-One
Spectator Drags will complete the 12:30 pm Father's Day show.
Saturday evening June 14th will see the Late Models taking
time at 4:30 pm, with all other qualifying to follow and feature
event racing set to start at 5:30 pm.
