LegendStock 2008 and NELMA Promoters Team Up
to Offer Additional Incentive
Legends drivers who are considering taking
part in the LegendStock 2008 race at Bethel Motor Speedway now
have one more incentive to take part in the event. It was
jointly announced by the promoters of LegendStock 2008 and NELMA
that the winner of the LegendStock race will receive a
guaranteed provisional starting spot for the Legends Fall
Classic to be held at Mountain Speedway, should the winning
driver attend the Fall Classic and find that they do not qualify
for the feature event.
LegendStock, being run at the newly-renamed
Bethel Motor Speedway, is being billed as the largest purse for
a Legends race in the Northeast. The event is scheduled to be
run on Saturday, August 16th, with a raindate of August 17th.
The current purse is $3,000., with $1,500. going to the winner.
The winner of the event will also be sponsored by Great North
Legends to the Legends Nationals to be held at Elko Speedway in
Minnesota in October. It is expected that LegendStock 2008 may
draw upwards of 100 Legends cars from across the Northeast and
beyond. Registrations have already begun to pour in, and since
numbers are issued on a first-come, first-served basis with no
duplicate or "X" numbers, drivers are urged to complete the
entry process as soon as possible. Full details and registration

The Legends Fall Classic is slated to be run at Mountain
Speedway on Saturday, October 25, in conjunction with the 4th
Annual North East Late Model Association (NELMA) Late Model
Challenge. The Fall Classic will be a 35-lap affair, with an
expected B-main as well. This is the first year that the day's
events have included the Legends cars, and it is expected that
there will be a strong contingent of cars in the pit area that
