Logano Set for Two Days at Motorsports 2009 Race Car & Trade Show

Joey Logano, considered by many to be the next superstar in motorsports, will be visiting with fans and signing autographs at the annual Motorsports 2009 Race Car & Trade Show, January 16 and 17th at the plush Atlantic City Convention Center.

The 18-year-old NASCAR Sprint Cup racer, set to take Tony Stewart’s place on the Joe Gibbs owned Home Depot sponsored Toyota team in 2009, has been a standout performer in every type of racing that he has competed in during his long career.

Logano, nicknamed “Sliced Bread” ever since former NASCAR Nationwide Series champion Randy LaJoie referred to him as the “next best thing since sliced bread, has won in quarter midgets, bandoleros, legends, late models and Hooters Cup events on his way to NASCAR.

In 2007 he won the NASCAR Camping World East Series championship and moved to the NASCAR Nationwide Series in May, 2008 where he has been a two time winner.

Logano has run a few NASCAR Sprint Cup races and is scheduled to race a JGR entry in some season closing events on NASCAR’s premier racing circuit.

The Middletown, CT racer is expected to be a very popular addition to what will be a star studded array of racers and personalities representing many different segments of the sport.

Motorsports 2009 will encompass more than 275,000 square feet of the A.C. Convention Center and will offer just about everything imaginable in motorsports.

More than 275 race cars are expected to be on display along with a hardcore manufacturer’s section, collectible and general exhibit areas, free industry seminars, roundtable discussions, stage shows and much more.

Again in 2009 autograph sessions featuring nationally famous racing stars and personalities will be available to show attendees FREE.

New in 2009 will be a FREE Exhibitor’s Reception on Thursday, January 15th running from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

In addition the second annual Promoter’s Summit will take place on both days. Registration information was just recently mailed to more than 400 speedways and racing organizations. The Summit will give race promoters, public relations people and others involved in local short track racing the opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers covering a wide range of subjects relating to short track promotion. More than 60 promoters from more than 10 states registered for the Summit earlier this year.

Complete information on the Summit may be had by telephoning Ernie Saxton at 215.752.7797 or e-mail Esaxton144@aol.com.

Again this year indoor auto racing, another Len Sammons Production, will be taking place on the nights of January 16th and 17th at the Boardwalk Hall located just a short distance from the Convention Center.

The three events together make for an exciting fan friendly weekend of motorsports entertainment in the popular resort city.
