WKA to Visit Riverhead
October 10-12

This weekend October 10th, 11th, and 12th,
the WKA comes to Riverhead Raceway with the Northeastern
regional pavement series. All the top go-karters from around
the Northeast will converge on Riverhead to compete for the
championship title. There are even competitors making the trip
from as far South as Georgia and the Carolinas. After all the
WKA practices are completed on Saturday, there will be a "Big
Buck" Shootout. According to Acting President Dave Brigati,
there are roughly 40 already signed up for the Shootout, with
more entries expected.
Guaranteed For Shootout:
1st Place: $1,500
2nd Place: $750
3rd Place: $500
4th Place: $300
5th Place: $200

On Friday afternoon October 10th, pit gates will open at 3pm
with practice beginning at 5pm. On Saturday, October 11th,
gates will open at 9am with practice starting at 12 and ending
at 5. A BBQ is scheduled at 6 with the Shootout to follow at
6:30. On the agenda for Sunday, October 12th, gates will open
at 7am with the drivers’ meeting to follow at 9am and practice
starting at 9:30 am. Qualifying will start after practice with
the regional race to follow.
