It's that time of the year once again! The holidays are over
and it's time to turn our attention to the upcoming race season
on Long Island which for the 14th year in a row kick-off with
L.I. Daytona 500 party. Hosted by Riverhead Raceway's Bob Finan
along with Steve and Tim Halpin this is the most traditional and
largest 500 party on the Island.
The L.I. Daytona 500 party will return for the second
consecutive year to JC's Restaurant in the Pine Hills Country
Club in Manorville, where hosts John and Jenn Cavalieri will
once again roll out the red carpet for the "Great American
Race".
The doors at JC's will swing open at 11:00 am and the Halpin
brothers will once again be handling the Daytona 500 pools and
during the race a free buffet will keep the race fans nourished.
Drink specials on both domestic and imported draught beer will
again be available and there will be plenty of door prizes to be
announced in the weeks to come.
In the pub area of JC's over a dozen HD Plasma Flat Screen
TVs are available to watch the race on and the back catering
room will again be open to handle the usual overflow for the
party.
In making the announcement on returning to JC's Steve Halpin
noted, "John and Jenn were more than gracious hosts for the 2008
party and we expect this year to be even bigger and better if
that's possible".
JC's Restaurant is accessible off the Long Island Expressway
at exit 69 South, or from Sunrise Highway use exit 59 North and
follow the signs to the Pine Hills Country Club.
You never know who you might see at the L.I. Daytona 500
party so make your plans now to attend the 14th annual edition
on Sunday February 15th.
