More than 165 drivers, crew members, car owners, sponsors, and fans crowded
into East Islip Lanes for the Race And Collect Earnings (R.A.C.E.) driver
fund fundraiser held January 25th. Everyone enjoyed two games of bowling,
and tried their luck in the Chinese auction, with more than 60 different
gift baskets and assorted gift certificates and other prizes. More than
$2,100 was collected in all. The fund will benefit those in the Modified,
Late Model, Charger, Blunderbust, Figure Eight, and Super Pro Truck
divisions at the conclusion of the 2009 season.
