Go For Green Team Daytona 500 Party and Charity Fundraiser a "Go"

That's right, it's that time of year again for "The Great American Race", The Daytona 500, February 15th, 2009. Once again, Go For Green Team will be hosting its annual Daytona 500 Party and Charity Fundraiser, with two locations to choose from. Changing Times Pub, located at 1247 Melville Road in Farmingdale (631-694-6462); and Changing Times Ale House, located at 526 Larkfield Road in East Northport (631-368-3255) will each open their doors at 11:30 a.m. for the occasion. In addition to providing a fun-filled atmosphere to enjoy the race with friends, the event will also serve as a fundraiser for some special charities.

All proceeds from the raffle will benefit The Nassau-Suffolk Autism Society, The Marty Himes Museum of Motor Racing Nostalgia, and The Kevin Morrisey Scholarship Fund. Raffle tickets will be sold at each of the locations, at a cost of $10 per ticket or three tickets for $25. In addition to being available at each location during the Daytona 500 parties, tickets can also be purchased by sending a check or money order and a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with a note indicating the desired number of tickets to: Go For Green, 24 Princeton Drive, Dix Hills, NY 11746.

The Grand Prize is a trip for two to the Coke Zero 400 race at Daytona International Speedway. The trip includes airfare, hotel accomodations, and race tickets, and is scheduled for July 3, 4, and 5, 2009. Second prize is tickets for the Pocono 500 race on June 7, 2009. Third prize is a basket of cheer.

A number of corporations and people have stepped up to sponsor the annual event and help make it a success, including: 102.3 WBAB, Full Throttle Hot Rod Magazine, Victory Lane Collectibles, NEWS 10/55, and NASCAR race fans.
