Riverhead Raceway NASCAR Whelen All-American Series officials
disclosed today that Golden Auto Body would return as a
marketing partner with the Super Pro Truck division for the 2009
campaign. It marks the 8th year that Golden Auto Body has backed
the "tailgate brigade" at Barbara and Jim Cromarty's quarter
mile facility.
"A big thank you goes out to Charlie Rizzo and his staff at
Golden Auto Body for their long standing support of our Super
Pro Truck class" Bob Finan of Riverhead Raceway offered. Golden
will again post additional money to the weekly SPT purse and
host their night at the races Saturday September 19th. Finan
added, "We are still seeking seasonal and individual race
sponsors for not just the trucks, but all our divisions, the
more sponsors the more purse money".
Lou Maestri of Deer Park will come to the 2009 season opener
on Saturday evening May 3rd as the defending champion of the
Super Pro Trucks. Among his challengers in 2009 will be two
racing families. The brothers Turbush Roger and Chris are
running the full slate of SPT races this year, as will the
racing Dumicich family headed-up by Frank Dumicich Sr., who'll
be joined by son Frank Jr. and daughter Erin. All are considered
threats towards the 2009 championship.
Saturday night May 3rd as the curtain goes up on the 2009
NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Riverhead Raceway; the
Super Pro Trucks are going to be joined by the NASCAR Modifieds,
Late Models, Figure Eights, Chargers and Blunderbusts.
