Following the tremendous success of the bowling party/Chinese
auction fundraiser that was held in January to benefit the Race
And Collect Earnings (R.A.C.E) driver fund, a second fundraiser
has been announced. The event will be a casino-style fundraiser,
to be held at Lily Flanigan's in East Islip from 2 p.m. until 6
p.m. on Sunday, July 12th.
Tickets for the fundraiser will be available at the track, at
a cost of $25 per person. The price includes the initial
"buy-in" to play, as well as one drink. Tickets need to be
purchased in advance in order for the event organizers to cover
the expense of hosting it.
At the end of the event, all participants' chips will be
counted, and prizes will be awarded. First prize will be $500.
Second place will pay $200, while third place will be worth
$100. $50 will be paid out for fourth. There will also be door
prizes, as well as a 50/50 raffle.
