List of Entrants for
LegendStock 2009 Grows

With just over a month remaining before the August 15th
LegendStock 2009 event at Bethel Motor Speedway (NY), the list
of entrants is on the rise. Last year, more than 35 Legends
talents from across the Northeast and beyond took part in the
$1,500-to-win event, and that number is expected to be even
higher this year.
So far, drivers from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and
Connecticut have all expressed their intent to take part in the
event. A number of drivers with longer trips are also expected,
coming from as far away as Virginia, Georgia, and Minnesota.
Bethel Motor Speedway regulars such as Mike Alcaro, Kevin Nowak,
Matt Maring, Joe DeGracia, John Hugate, Joe Fresco, and Raven
Schrantz are expected to do battle with accomplished drivers
from other tracks, including Tim Brockhouse, Andrew Smith, and
Kevin Yeatts.
Mike Alcaro is five-for-five in his visits to Bethel Motor
Speedway so far in the 2009 season, while events have also been
won by Kenny VanWickle and Joe DeGracia in Alcaro's absence.
Alcaro finished second overall in the LegendStock 2008 event,
and was the Semi-Pro division winner. He is competing in the Pro
division this year.
Last year's Masters division winner Tim Brockhouse has filed his
entry for LegendStock 2009. LegendStock 2008 overall and Pro
division winner Michael Gervais Jr. has not yet confirmed his
entry, but has expressed an interest in competing, in spite of
the fact that he has moved out of Legends racing.
LegendStock 2009 has a guaranteed purse of $3,000., and will pay
a minimum of $1,500. to the winner. The entry fee for a Legends
car and driver is $50, and entry forms are available online.
Bandoleros will also be on the schedule, and Bandolero drivers
will have their entry fee waived.
Gates are scheduled to open at 11 a.m. on August 15th, with
qualifying slated to begin at 3 p.m. A combination of time
trials and heat race finishes will be used to determine the
starting lineup for the race.
