Team Full Throttle And
Driver Chris Young Team Up With
ROCK CAN ROLL® In A ‘Race’ To ‘Beat Hunger’
August 11th At Lowe's Motor Speedway
TEAM FULL THROTTLE, in conjunction with Kyle Beattie Racing
and Speedway Children’s Charities has teamed up with ROCK CAN
ROLL®, a not for profit hunger relief organization, and they are
racing to beat hunger! The team is asking all race teams and
“FANS to bring CANS”, or any Healthy and Nutritious
non-perishable food donation, to the final round of the Summer
Shootout at the LOWE’S MOTOR SPEEDWAY on Tuesday, August 11,
2009.
Cans and donations will be accepted at the Speedway Children’s
Charities booth in the concourse area of the main grandstand,
and in Kyle Beattie Racing’s pit stall located in turn one in
the Nationwide Series garage area.
Chris Young, 15, a racer who is teamed with all three
organizations this season, is spearheading the effort on rock
CAN roll’s behalf. “Team Full Throttle provides driver coaching
for me as well as marketing and representation, and Kyle Beattie
and his team maintain my race car that I am racing at Lowe’s for
this series. I am really excited that they are helping me team
up with Speedway Children’s Charities and rock CAN roll to help
fight hunger in the greater Charlotte area,” said Young.
Founded by Aimée Holtzman , rock CAN roll, Inc®., is a
volunteer, 501c3, non-profit, hunger relief organization and
think tank whose mission is to be a source that CAN continually
restock the shelves of emergency food agencies across the
country.
rock CAN roll collaborates with rock concerts, events, schools,
corporations, and private individuals to collect canned and
non-perishable food (and basic provisions) for distribution to
local agencies and into the hands of children, seniors and
families who live with hunger and poverty.
The rock CAN roll organization is always looking for new
collaborators, volunteers, supporters and friends to help in
this quest to beat hunger.
