Maningo Gives Back to
Local Community
Glenn Maningo, driver/owner of the #12NY Legends car came out
Friday night, August 7th to a local fundraiser in East Moriches
to help raise money for and support the CAARE Foundation, a
charity he feels strongly about. Aside from the logos of primary
sponsors “Swimming Pools by Jack Anthony” and “Martha C. Baker,
DMD”, among others, Maningo displays the logo of the CAARE
Foundation on his car and trailer.
The Children’s Autism Awareness, Research,
and Education Foundation is a local organization that
helps parents deal with the challenges of caring for autistic
children. The foundation also raises money to advance research
and educate the public about autism. One of the outstanding
advantages of CAARE is that all the money that is raised goes
directly where it is needed and is not squandered on
administration and salaries.
Maningo was at the event throughout the evening, letting all the
children take turns sitting in the car, and collecting donations
for the CAARE Foundation. Once the sun went down, and the
outdoor showing of the movie “Hotel for Dogs” started, the
children were more interested in the movie than the little
Legends car, but a good time was had by all.
Maningo declined posing next to his car for a photo op, stating
“It’s not about me, it’s about the kids!”
