LAP SPONSORSHIPS
AVAILABLE FOR SEPT. 12TH LEGENDS RACE
Last week, it was announced that the Legends division had
been added to the schedule for Riverhead Raceway's September
12th show. The race will be a 20-lap event, featuring time trial
qualifying. It will be the last points race of the 2009 season
for the Legends class, replacing the canceled September 6th
event. As a result, it was announced that several drivers in the
division were organizing the sale of laps, the proceeds of which
will go to the drivers in the form of additional pay. Laps are
available for $20 each, and interested parties can contact Bryan
Johnson at

The lap money will be distributed to drivers running in selected
positions on each lap, and will be presented to the drivers in
those spots after the conclusion of the event. The division is
also hoping to secure sponsorship for other special awards, such
as fast time. Interested parties are also encouraged to post
money for any other awards they may wish to see presented to the
drivers in what promises to be a premier event for the Legends
division, which has consistently brought sizeable car counts to
Riverhead since its return last season.
The September 12th program at Riverhead will be a busy one, with
all seven divisions in competition, as well as a visit from the
4C Supermodifieds. Feature events are slated to begin at 5:30
p.m. that day to facilitate all of the divisions that will be on
