Marty Himes Vintage Race Car Show – Sat. Oct. 10
Next Saturday, October 10, take a step back
into Long Island Racing’s glory days by visiting Farmingdale,
New York’s Changing Times Pub for the third annual “Marty Himes
Vintage Race Car Show and Old Timers Day.” Many legendary
drivers from yesterday and today will be on hand along with the
race cars that they drove into victory lane.
In addition to meeting the stars and cars
of Long Island Racing’s today and yesterday, there will be many
other attractions. All day there will be live music as well as
vendors selling racing gear and apparel. WBAB’s weekend jock,
Steady “Mr. NASCAR” Eddie will be on hand with giveaways all
afternoon long. Danielle McCormack, from Long Island Need for
Speed will be taping the event, which will be aired on
Cablevision later this year. And, to make the event even more
memorable, a special guest appearance will be announced later
this week.
The third annual Marty Himes Vintage Race
Car Show and Old Timers Day will be held on Sat. Oct. 10 (rain
date: Oct. 17) from 9AM-5PM at Changing Times Pub, which is
located at 1247 Melville Rd., Farmingdale, N.Y. For more
