LIKA Points Race and Race No. 1 of LICS This Sunday
On Sunday, October 18th, the Long Island
Karting Association,
www.LikaOnline.com, will be hosting LIKA Points Race #8 and
Race 1 of the Long Island Championship Series at the Nassau
Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Starting order will be determined by
qualifying times. Race 1 starting order will be set based on the
fastest qualifying time. Race 2 starting order will be set based
on the finishing order of Race 1.
The following is the schedule for Sundays event.
7:30am Registration and Track Setup
8:45am Mandatory Competitors Meeting
9:00am to 10:30am Practice Sessions
Group 1: Kid Karts, Cadet Novice
Group 2: Cadet, Jr Yamaha
Group 3: Mini-Max, Tag Jr.
Group 4: Senior Yamahas
Group 5: Tag Sr, Shifters
Group 6: Clones, Open Karts
10:45am to 12:15pm - Qualifying
12:15pm to 12:35pm Test Drives
12:45pm to 3:00pm Race 1
3:00pm to 4:45pm Race 2
5:00pm Track Teardown
I would also like to remind everyone that there is a General
Club Meeting scheduled for Monday, October 19th at 7:00pm at the
Old Fields Inn in Greenlawn. The primary purpose of this meeting
is to accept nominations for the 2010 LIKA Board of Directors
positions. Any Primary Member, who is a LIKA Member by September
1st 2009, can be nominated for a Board position.
The Board positions are:

Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Track Director
Assistant Track Director 1
Assistant Track Director 2
Assistant Track Director 3
Assistant Track Director 4
Elections for the 2010 Board of Directors will be held during
the November General Club Meeting. Only Primary Members can vote
and all voting must be done in person at the meeting. There will
not be any write-in or absentee ballots. You must be at the
meeting to vote.
