NELMA Night Returns to
Damon’s on Fri. Oct. 23
A week from this Friday, on October 23,
NELMA will be offering a night of fun at Damon’s Grill in
downtown Hazleton, Pa. NELMA will have Sundance Vacation
Speedway’s two-seat late model stock car on hand as well as many
NELMA participants’ rides. In addition, fans will have the
chance to win a ride-along in the two-seat late model stock car
for the Sat. Oct. 24 event at Sundance Vacations Speedway in St.
Johns, Pa.
Damon’s Grill, located at 120 State Route 93 in Hazleton, is a
leading full-service, casual dining restaurant that emphasizes
prime rib, grilled steaks, chicken, seafood, salad, and Damon's
award-winning ribs. Guests can enjoy a quiet dining room or
Damon’s high-energy Clubhouse that features DTV, a proprietary,
state-of-the-art multi-screen entertainment system offering
sports, network programming and interactive games. NELMA Night
begins at 5 PM and will continue to 9 PM on Friday, October 23.
All fans, teams, and competitors are welcome to come and enjoy
themselves.
The Friday night event will be followed by the main event on
Saturday, October 24—NELMA at St. Johns, Pennsylvania’s Sundance
Vacations Speedway. Three divisions with fierce competition will
be on hand – the NELMA Late Model Challenge, NELMA Legends Car
Fall Classic, and the NELMA Street Stock Fender Fury – along
with the preceding inaugural Hazleton Rat Rod Festival and
Automotive Swap Meet, which will run from 10AM-2PM. For
competitors, pits open at 8 AM, with practice beginning at 10
AM. For NELMA fans, grandstands will open at 12 noon, with
qualifying to begin at 12:30 PM, and the show to start at 2 PM.
The rain date for the show is Sunday, October 25.
