Young Sixth in Sundance
Debut
Chris Young decided he didn't want his
season to be over yet. So, he and his family owned team decided
to drop by the challenging Sundance Vacations Speedway (formerly
known as Mountain Speedway) for a run at the King of the
Mountain title.
Making his initial visit to the tight St. John's, Pa. bullring,
Young drove a heads up race and walked off with a satisfying
sixth place finish.
"I had fun today," Young said. "We are happy with sixth
considering it's my first time here. It's an interesting track
because there really is no straightaway. You're always turning.
There were some good cars here so we'll take what we got and
think about what we want to change for the next time."
Young added that the team was happy enough with his finish to
return to Sundance on October 24th for the Legends Fall Classic.
"We weren't sure if we were going to run any more after today or
not. But it looks like we might come back now for the next race
in two weeks before we rebuild the motor and go through the car
to get ready for next year."
