Returns to Sponsor $750-to-win Legends Car Fall Classic
After a successful 2008 edition, WPW
Equipment Rental returns to sponsor the NELMA Legends Car Fall
Classic, which will be hosted by Sundance Vacations Speedway in
St. Johns, Pa. on Sat. Oct. 24, 2009. Last year, the trio of
Connecticut’s Max Zachem, Jason Palmer, and New Jersey’s Mike
Alcaro put on a Legends car thrill show, with Zachem taking the
checkers first for the inaugural win. All three will be back in
’09, gunning for the coveted WPW Equipment Rental Legends Car
Fall Classic trophy, hefty winner’s check, and the prestige that
goes with it.
WPW Equipment Rental offers heavy-duty equipment rentals
including but not limited to: excavators, bulldozers, bobcats,

The NELMA Legends car competitors represent a demographic slice
of America, coming from a variety of backgrounds from all over
the Eastern Seaboard. Young and old, rookie and veteran,
blue-collared and white-collared, male and female, students and
retirees - all of which make up this unique field.
While the Legends cars vie for the WPW Equipment Rental Legends
Car Fall Classic win, they will be joined by two other divisions
with fierce competition – the NELMA Late Model Challenge and the
NELMA Street Stock Fender Fury. Immediately preceding the
program will be the inaugural Hazleton Rat Rod Festival and
Automotive Swap Meet, which will run from 10AM-2PM. For
competitors, pits open at 8 AM on Saturday, October 24, with
practice beginning at 10 AM. For NELMA fans, grandstands will
open at 12 noon, with qualifying to begin at 12:30 PM, and the
show to start at 2 PM. The rain date for the show is Sunday,
October 25.
