Bobby Allision Set to
Appear at Motorsports 2010
One of the true legends of NASCAR stock car
racing will be part of the Motorsports 2010 Presented by
StreetBlaze 100 Race Car & Trade Show set for January 22 to 24th
at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA.
Three time Daytona 500 winner Bobby
Allison, named one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers, will be
returning to the show to meet fans and signing autographs on
opening day of the show (Friday) from 7 PM to 9 PM and on
Saturday, 1 PM to 3 PM.
According to the NASCAR record books the 72
year old legend has 84 wins to his credit in Cup racing. However
Allison still disputes that and claims he has 85. He will be
glad to tell you about it at the show. He does stand third on
the All-Time Win List for NASCAR Cup racers.
Allison was one of the most popular racers
on the circuit when he was active winning the Most Popular
Driver Award six times and he remains very popular with fans.
In addition to being the 1983 Winston Cup
Series Champion, the Hueytown, Alabama resident was a five time
runner-up for the title and amassed close to $8 million in
winnings. He had more than 600 short track victories during his
career and has been inducted into a number of Halls of Fame.
What some fans may not remember is that
Allison also competed in two Indianapolis 500 races (1973 and
1975) for car owner Roger Penske and was 1973 Rookie of the
Year. Mechanical problems sidelined him both times.
Allison will join NASCAR Sprint Cup
standouts Kasey Kahne and Marcos Ambrose in autograph sessions
at the 25th annual Motorsports 2010 show. NASCAR Sprint Cup crew
chief Frankie Kerr will be there along with other nationally
famous racers and personalities.
The three day show will feature more than
200 racing vehicles on display along with just about everything
imaginable in motorsports.
Langhorne Speedway, considered one of the
greatest dirt track racing facilities in the history of the
sport, will be remembered during the show with a huge display
and reunion of past performers in race events at the legendary
one mile dirt track.
One of the highlights of the show is the
annual BPG Racing Ms. Motorsports Pageant. Young ladies looking
to enter the pageant are invited to contact the show office at
609.888.3618.
A variety of seminars designed to help
racers with setups, sponsorship, and more will be presented free
during the weekend.
