Immediately following the trophy presentations, a plaque was
presented to Lee Becker from Carquest. Carquest sponsored all
the event trophies throughout the year and the Top 6 point
finishing trophies in each division. The plaque was from all the
enduro drivers in appreciation for Carquest's support of the
divisions. Next was a big thank you from all to Elaine
Vollmoeller for all she had done for the enduros this year.
Elaine busted her butt selling 50/50's all year to help make a
purse for the top finishers and create the Awards Banquet for
all.
Next up, the music began, with only the 50/50 left to be drawn.
After a few songs, the music stopped and Ray Fitzgerald picked
out the winning ticket of Bobby Pease for the 50/50. The music
began again but Pease stopped the DJ. He grabbed the microphone and
told everyone he is donating $50 into the 2010 point fund to get
it started. What a guy!!! The music started again and fun was
had by all.
Personally I would just like to say, what an affair. A lot of
time and work went into this, and it all paid off. Everyone
enjoyed the night, and the family atmosphere of the enduro
drivers, family and friends, was an awesome feeling.
