Riverhead Competitors'
Meetings Set for Sun. Jan. 31
The annual Riverhead Raceway Competitors'
Winter Meetings will take place on Sunday January 31st, 2010 at
the Polish Club in Riverhead it was announced today by co-chief
stewards Mike Cappiello and Jim Maggio. The daylong meetings
will be held in the lower level meeting hall of the Polish Club.
The Competitors' Winter Meeting is an opportunity for Riverhead
Raceway NASCAR Whelen All-American Series officials to get
together with owners and drivers to review procedures and other
related items for the 2010 season. Riverhead Raceway will open
Saturday evening May 1st for the NASCAR Whelen All-American
Series, while the Enduro competitors will kick-off their 2010
campaign the very next afternoon Sunday May 2nd.
The schedule for the January 31st gathering will be as follows,
the Blunderbust and Legend Race Car drivers will gather from
9:30 am until 10:45, with the Chargers and Super Pro Trucks
starting their meeting at 11:00 am. After an hour break for
lunch from 12 noon until 1:00 pm, the Figure Eight and Late
Model troops will meet from 1:00 pm until 2:15 pm. NASCAR
Modified teams will then have their meeting at 2:30 pm, with the
final meeting set for the Enduro and Demolition Derby
competitors at 400 pm.
Teams are reminded that they can have two members of their team
attend the meetings, whether it's owner/driver, driver/crew
chief or any other combination. The Polish Club is located at
