Riverhead Rules and Car
Numbers for 2010 Now Available
Riverhead Raceway officials announced today
the car numbers and rules for the 2010 NASCAR Whelen
All-American Series and Enduro divisions are now available
either on-line or by calling the track office.
The 2010 season will open at Barbara & Jim
Cromarty's quarter mile oval with a big doubleheader weekend
Saturday evening May 1st and Sunday afternoon May 2nd.
To reserve a car number for any of the NASCAR classes or the
Grand Enduro or 4/6-Cylinder Truck Enduro divisions please call
Margie or Robin at 631-842-RACE Monday through Friday from 9:00
am until 5:00 pm. Only those who registered a number for 2009
and actually raced last season will have first rights to that
car number for 2010.
Everyone from the 40-year veteran to a
first time race team needs to register their car number and
update other information with the track office.
The 2010 rules are now available and can be downloaded from the
track website at www.riverheadraceway.com. Rules changes for
2010 for the Blunderbusts are found in the crankshaft, cylinder
head and RACEceiver area, while the Super Pro Trucks have
changes in the body, exhaust system, ignition system and
suspension categories.
Charger competitors should note changes in the area of weight,
engine displacement, piston/rods, crankshaft/balancer, ignition
and suspensions.
Late Model modifications include the frame and steering areas,
while the Figure Eights should note the intrusion plate rule.
Enduro drivers will need to note a change in approved helmets,
which now must be Snell 2000 or better, while Demolition Derby
competitors should note a wholesale change in their rules for
2010 and they should be read very carefully!
For further information aside from the 2010 rules, including the
energetic schedule set forth by the Cromarty's for the new race
season please visit
www.riverheadraceway.com, or again call 631-842-RACE.
