Raceway Set for Repo Joe Night Sat. June 26
Saturday night, June 26th,
Riverhead Raceway will introduce a new marketing
partner during the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series as popular
local used
car dealer Repo Joe will sponsor four of the five divisions in
action at
Barbara and Jim Cromarty's historic quarter mile oval. Joining
the NASCAR
stock cars are a Full Size School Bus Figure Eight race and a
4-Cylinder
Enduro will racing set to start at 6:00 pm.
The monthly Repo Joe events at
Riverhead Bay Motors, just east of Riverhead
Raceway have become very popular used car sales events,
especially in the
recent economic times. This Saturday during the afternoon and
evening hours
one of these events will again be held at Riverhead Bay Motors.
Once this
has been completed Repo Joe along with Frank and The Wiseman,
the morning
team from oldies radio station B-103 will make the short trip
west to
Riverhead Raceway to set-up a great display in turn three. B-103
will have
their popular prize wheel on hand at the Repo Joe Display with
fans getting
the opportunity to spin the wheel and win some fantastic prizes.
B-103 will
also do some live remotes from Riverhead Raceway.
The NASCAR Modifieds (35-laps),
Late Models (25-laps), Chargers and Super
Pro Trucks, who both will run 20-laps, are all being sponsored
by Repo Joe
at Riverhead Bay Motors. The 15-lap Ernie Maynor Memorial for
the Figure
Eights is once again being presented by Barrasso & Sons Mason
Supplies.
The 13-ton Full Size School Bus
Figure Eight race, being run in celebration
of the last day of school on Long Island Friday, June 25th, will
once again
entertain young and old alike with some breath taking close
calls at the
intersection. The 4-Cylinder Enduro division from the Sunday
Enduro shows at
Riverhead will compete in their first Saturday night race of
2010.
Action will get underway at 6:00
pm for a great evening of NASCAR stock car
and family entertainment this Saturday June 26th and for the
entire 2010
