The Prized
Coastal 181 Cup Returns to NELMA
No victory lane celebration is
complete without the monument that immortalizes a racer’s
hard-earned win – the trophy. For the second consecutive year,
Coastal 181 returns to present its Coastal 181 Cup to the NELMA
Late Model Challenge victor.
Coastal 181 is your one-stop shop for one of the largest
selections of racing books, DVDs, and motorsports artwork. They
are no strangers to monumentalizing the best that racing has to
offer as they do it every day by publishing the highest quality
racing books on heroes like Richie Evans, Bugs Stevens, and Ken
Schrader, and selling related books, DVDs, and memorabilia that
preserve motorsports' storied history. You can find out more
about Coastal 181’s offerings by visiting
www.coastal181.com or
calling 1-877-907-8181.
Last year, the inaugural Coastal 181 Cup went to the second-ever
two-time NELMA Late Model Challenge winner, Jarrod Hayes, of
Calverton, N.Y. This year, Hayes faces some steep competition
from all around the Northeast, as they all want the prized
Coastal 181 Cup and the glory that goes with winning one of the
most competitive late model races of the season.
While the late models compete for the Coastal 181 Cup in the
NELMA Late Model Challenge, they will be joined by two other
divisions with hot-and-heavy competition – the NELMA Legends Car
Fall Classic and the NELMA Street Stock Fender Fury. Immediately
preceding the program will be the second annual Hazleton Rat Rod
Festival and Automotive Swap Meet, which will run from 10AM-2PM.
For competitors, pits open at 8 AM on Saturday, October 23, with
practice beginning at 10 AM. For NELMA fans, grandstands will
open at 12 noon, with qualifying to begin at 12:30 PM, and the
show to start at 2 PM. The rain date for the show is Sunday,
October 24. For more information about October’s can’t-miss
event, visit
