Bigfoot to
Headline Riverhead Raceway Monster Truck Spectacular Labor Day
Weekend Sept. 4 & 5
The most famous Monster Truck in the land, Bigfoot, is
heading for Riverhead
Raceway for a Labor Day weekend of madness Saturday evening
September 4th and Sunday afternoon September 5th for two great
shows of slap wheelies and crushing cars. Saturday evening at
6:00 pm the Monster Trucks will be joined
by the NASCAR stock cars and an 8-Cylinder Demolition Derby,
while on Sunday
afternoon it will be Enduro Racing complimenting Bigfoot and
friends. A free
amusement ride will also be on hand both days in turn three for
the children
to play on. To celebrate Labor Day this will be a mechanical
ride, not an
inflatable one, which should bring lots of fun to the children.
Bigfoot will be joined for the Labor Day weekend at Barbara &
Jim Cromarty's
Riverhead Raceway by the ever tough KSR Crusher and Storm Damage
and for the very first time on Long Island a fourth Monster
Truck will be part of the
"free style" competition. Jack Brady announced that a Jeep
bodied Monster
Truck will be the fourth truck added to the weekend's
festivities. As is the
norm for Monster Truck weekend at Riverhead the extremely
popular Monster
ride truck will be providing rides for a nominal fee on the
raceway property
for the thrill of a lifetime!
After Bigfoot and company complete their "free style"
competition, a bone
jarring 8-Cylinder Demolition Derby will unfold with "Deathwish"
Jason Savoy
and "The Killa" James Kilkenny slugging it out for the 2010
Demolition Derby
championship. This will also be the final tune-up for the 2010
National
Demolition Derby Championship, a $1,500 to win spectacular on
Miller Lite
night Saturday September 18th at Riverhead Raceway.
Prior to the Monster Truck and Demolition Derby competition
Saturday
September 4th the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series will be in
action
featuring the NASCAR Modifieds, Chargers, Blunderbusts and Super
Pro Trucks.
The evening will also include a 4/6-Cylinder Truck Enduro,
the first race of
two in 24 hours for these drivers who'll also compete on Sunday
afternoon.
Racing starts at 6:00 pm Saturday evening.
Sunday afternoon joining the 4/6-Cylinder Truck Enduro and
Monster Trucks
are the Grand Enduros as well Enduro feature events for the 8, 6
&
4-Cylinder divisions with a second 8-Cylinder event to complete
the matinee
that starts at 12:30 pm. In the event of rain for Sunday's show
a Monday
Labor Day rain date is in effect with the same starting time.
Promoters Barbara & Jim Cromarty will again provide a free,
mechanical, not
inflatable, amusement ride in turn three for both days of racing
and
indications are it will be the biggest and best ride to appear
at the track
in 2010!
