Miller Lite Returns to Riverhead Raceway for 27th Consecutive Season

Riverhead Raceway owners and promoters Barbara and Jim Cromarty announced today that long time marketing partner Miller Lite will return for their 27th consecutive season as a sponsor for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series in 2011. Miller Lite, through its Long Island distributor Boening Brothers of Lindenhurst have sponsored the NASCAR Modified, Figure Eights and Demolition Derby events at the quarter mile oval since 1985 and will continue that relationship for the upcoming season that starts May 7th.

Al Frazer, director of marketing for Boening Brothers commented, "our relationship with Barbara and Jim Cromarty, the racers and fans at Riverhead Raceway is perhaps our most popular marketing program, not to mention how much fun we enjoy when we host our Miller Lite nights at the track" Indeed Miller Lite will host three great nights as part of their sponsorship package with the first to come on Saturday, July 2nd when the annual Fireworks Independence Day spectacular is presented with a 4-Cylinder Demolition Derby joining the Cromarty Cup 50 for the NASCAR Modifieds. The Figure Eights, Chargers and Blunderbusts will also see action with a free Amusement Ride for the children available in turn three.

Rounding out the Miller Lite night at the races shows for 2011 are the August 6th Night of Adventure program that will feature the return of the Hell Drivers stunt show and a Full Size School Bus Demolition Derby. Saturday, September 17th will once again be Miller Lite night at Riverhead Raceway with the National Demolition Derby Championship highlighting that exciting card of racing.

"We are so very happy that Miller Lite and the Boening Brothers family have been with us over what we believe to be the longest running short track marketing partnership in the business" Barbara and Jim Cromarty noted, "we can't thank Al Frazer and his staff enough for all they do for our sport".

The 2011 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series is set to start Saturday evening, May 7th at Riverhead Raceway with a full card of racing. Prior to opening night the traditional two pre-season practice sessions are slated for Saturday afternoon, April 23rd and Saturday, April 30th.
