Monte Brothers Racing
Celebrates a Successful 2010 Race Season
On Sunday, January 23rd, the Monte Brothers
Racing Team attended the Long Island Karting Association's
annual Awards Banquet at the Marriott Hotel in Islandia, NY. The
team took home awards in each of their respective classes for
the 2010 season.
Nicholas Monte who competed in the Rotax
Junior class came home with a 5th Place trophy in the overall
club championship and with the Most Improved Junior Driver. This
was Nicholas' first year in Rotax Junior and was able to improve
his lap times during the course of the year.
Anthony Monte who completed in the 80cc
Cadet class took home 3rd place in the overall club
championship, 1st place in the Oakland Valley Race Park Series
and 2nd place in the Long Island Championship Series. Anthony
also made big improvements in is driving abilities and made
several good passes for position during the year. We are looking
forward to the 2011 season where Anthony will be making run at
the Cadet Championship.
Austin Monte came home with trophies for
the 50cc Kid Kart class in the Overall Club Championship,
Vanderbilt Cup Series, Oakland Valley Race Park Series and the
Long Island Championship Series. Austin also made some nice
improvements during the year and even "survived" his first
crash. Austin is looking forward to returning to the Kid Kart
class in 2011.
We would like to thank all of our sponsors,
GoPro Action Sports Cameras, Douglas Wheels, Leatt Brace,
Rockwell Sport Watches and our families for their support.
Without their help and assistance our racing accomplishments
would not be possible.
