ROYS TEAMS WITH VIGLIAROLO JR. FOR 2000
David Roys has announced that
he has teamed together with 1999 Riverhead Raceway Winston Racing Series
Modified Champion Frank Vigliarolo Jr. for the 2000 racing season. Both will
run for the championship at Riverhead with Roys racing for his first title,
while Vigliarolo races to defend his title. The team will also race in
selected shows on the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series during the 2000
season.
David Roys has been racing since 1989, spending 5 years
in the Riverhead Raceway Charger division garnering 6 wins before moving up
to the Late Model division capturing Rookie Of The Year Honors. Racing a
Modified in NASCAR’s oldest division since 1997, this racing veteran is
looking to win the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series crown for 2000.
With primary sponsorship from KeyTrade Online.Com and
four Modified racecars at their disposal, the team is eagerly looking
forward to the start of the season. Roys will be utilizing two 2000 Troyer
built Monte Carlos with ERD Rob Nicola Race Engines.
"Frank and I have been friends for ten or twelve
years. I’m pretty pumped up… very excited," Roys stated.
"There is a little pressure since Frank won last year’s championship
at Riverhead. But I’m very confidant that I can run up front, and have a
good shot to win a few races."
