CHRISTOPHER AND HIRSCHMAN TO START
ON THE FRONT ROW FRIDAY

Todd Bodine to make first NASCAR Modified appearance since 1985

LOUDON, N.H. (Sept. 15, 2005) – Wet weather caused Bud Pole qualifying to be cancelled for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at New Hampshire International Speedway Thursday, with the race lineup set according to the current car owner point standings. Ted Christopher, winner of the last three Whelen Modified Tour events at NHIS, will start Friday’s Sylvania 100 in the first position with Tony Hirschman on the outside of the front row.

The Sylvania 100 is set to begin at approximately 5:00 p.m., following Friday’s NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series race. Christopher, of Plainville, Conn., leads the Whelen Modified Tour point standings by a 31-point margin (2,323-2,292) over Hirschman, the defending Modified Tour champion .

Also in the starting field will be NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series veteran Todd Bodine, who is making his first appearance in a NASCAR Modified event since 1985 at Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, Conn. Bodine, a native of Chemung, N.Y., will start 37th in the 39-car field, as a teammate to Connecticut’s Zach Sylvester.
