LongIslandJam.com Steps Up Its Efforts for 2013
For over a decade, LongIslandJam.com has served the Long Island racing community with unparalleled coverage of the sport. LongIslandJam.com welcomes the new season with a fresh look and additions to its staff led by its new managing editor, Danielle McCormack. With a promising season ahead, LongIslandJam.com seeks to take its coverage to a new level.
LongIslandJam.com debuts Phase I of its new design today. The design maintains its user-friendliness while incorporating several new features that aim to keep its visitors on top of breaking news while increasing the ability to connect and interact with our visitors and the site.
Danielle McCormack now leads LongIslandJam.com in her new role as its managing editor. McCormack started contributing to the site as its Junior Jam Reporter five years ago, covering the go-kart scene of Long Island. Since then, she’s written also for the Riverhead Racer program and spent last season covering Riverhead’s Saturday night events for LongIslandJam.com as a reporter and photographer. She will continue to photograph events and report on occasion.
Rob Blount joins LongIslandJam.com team for 2013 as a Saturday night reporter. The SUNY Purchase journalism major also blogs on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and is a co-host of a NASCAR podcast.
For Enduro Sundays, Erick Zegel returns as primary photographer, with Leanna Ozman covering the events when Zegel’s behind the wheel of his Grand Enduro. The Owens, Andy and his son Dale, will return to contribute photos and stories, too.
Richie Grodski, who we’re forever indebted to for graciously spending his time updating and maintaining the site, will continue to support LongIslandJam.com while maintaining TheChromeHorn.com.
Phase II of our new design will be gradually rolled out soon, which includes incorporating our familiar colors, driver profiles, our database of race results, and more user-friendly features.
