Miller Lite Returning For 65th Anniversary Season at Riverhead
Riverhead Raceway promoters Barbara & Jim Cromarty announced today that Miller Lite would be returning for the 65th Anniversary season at the famed quarter mile facility as a major marketing partner for the NASCAR Modifieds, Figure Eights and Demolition Derby divisions. 2015 will mark the 31st consecutive season that Miller Lite and their Long Island distributor Boening Brothers of Lindenhurst will be involved at the track.
“Every race season is a special season with the Cromarty family and everyone involved at Riverhead Raceway” Al Frazer, director of marketing for Miller Lite/Boening Brothers declared.”With the 65th Anniversary season upon us we are sure 2015 will indeed be a season to remember”. Miller Lite will again be adding weekly purse money to the NASCAR Modified, Figure Eight and Demolition Derby purses.
Three popular Miller Lite nights have been planed for 2015 with first coming on Independence Day Saturday July 4th. That evening the Cromarty’s will be hosting their annual Fireworks spectacular along with an 8-Cylinder Demolition Derby. The NASCAR Modifieds will compete in the annual Cromarty Cup race which for 2015 has been extended to 65-laps and are joined by the Figure Eights, Chargers, Blunderbusts and Legend Race Cars on July 4th.
The second Miller Lite night will be presented on Saturday August 22nd for the annual I Love America Night with another great Bay Fireworks show planned for the program along with a School Bus Demolition Derby. The NASCAR Modifieds, Figure Eights, Blunderbusts and Legend Race Cars will complete the race program.
Miller Lite night number three will unfold for the National Demolition Derby Championship event which for 2015 has been moved up to Saturday September 5th during the Labor Day weekend holiday. The Miller Lite National Demolition Derby is the “granddaddy” of the Demolition Derby season. A busy race card of NASCAR Modified, Figure Eight, Charger, Blunderbust, Super Pro Truck, Legend Race Car and Grand Enduro racing will be on tap.
The 2015 NASCAR Whelen All American Series will go green at Riverhead Raceway on Saturday May 2nd, the first half of the annual opening weekend. Twin 30 features for the NASCAR Modifieds will be joined by the Late Models, Figure Eights, Chargers, Blunderbusts, Super Pro Trucks and Legend Race Cars at 5:30 pm. The very next afternoon May 3rd the opening weekend will be completed with a full card of Enduro racing at 12:30 pm.
