Transaurus Ready to Entertain Riverhead Fans Aug. 1st

Barbara & Jim Cromarty will once again roll out another fun family event at Riverhead Raceway Saturday evening August 1st when Transaurus invades the quarter mile oval joining the NASCAR Whelen All- American Series stock cars. A Grand Enduro will also be on the card that will start at 6:00 pm.

For several seasons Transaurus has entertained young and old alike up and down the East Coast with its fire breathing, car eating and shredding of a full size 2.500 pound automobile. Transaurus is a prehistoric monster from another time when creatures like it ruled the earth and fans love to watch as it slowly stalks and destroys its prey.

The NASCAR Modifieds return after a very rare week off on July 25th with Tom Rogers Jr., John Fortin, Howie Brode, Ryan Preece, Kyle Soper and Vinny Biondolillo all in title contention going into Saturday night’s 35 -lapper.

Joining the “Mod Squad” will be the Late Models, Chargers, Blunderbusts and Super Pro Trucks. As an added racing bonus the cars and stars of the Grand Enduro ranks will see action in a 50-lap race. To date in 2015 two drivers have had a stranglehold on victory lane as Greg Zaleski has won 3 times while David Antos has scored two wins in the five races run.
