Fanfare with Brianna Martinelli
We’re back with another edition of Fanfare, where we go into the stands and talk to the fans about what brought them to the Riverhead Raceway.
This past weekend, we spoke to 16-year-old Brianna Martinelli. She made her very first trip to Riverhead Raceway this past weekend on Saturday, August 15, 2015. Martinelli accompanied Michael Jr., Nicole, and Paige Ewanitsko, as they were at the raceway with their father Mike Ewanitsko who was being inducted to the Cromarty’s Wall of Champions.
Martinelli’s favorite event of the night was the 8-cylinder Enduro race. “All the action, it’s just different from the rest of the races,” said Martinelli.
Besides the Enduros, Martinelli also enjoyed the modified feature. “The cars are so loud and the racing was good,” said Martinelli.
Her favorite driver of the night was Joe Warren Jr. who drives the No. 15 Blunderbust. She liked when Warren’s bumper got knocked loose during the Enduro feature and still continued to pass a lot of cars with a shower of sparks trailing behind him. Martinelli plans on returning to Riverhead for many more action before the end of the season.
