Fanfare with Sam Havens

This week’s fanfare is with Sam Havens. Havens is from Eastport, New York and is a crew member and good friends with Brandon Turbush.

This is Havens first year coming to Riverhead Raceway and says that he likes being around the track. Havens also enjoys working on Brandon Turbush’s car as well as just seeing all the other cars that are in the pits. Havens loves to work on the car and said, “It’s fun, I’ve learned a lot about cars.”

Havens had no previous experience working on racecars until joining Turbush’s team. Havens likes watching the Charger cars and thinks that Brandon is doing a good job in his first season. Outside of Riverhead, Havens is a race fan but says he does not have a favorite driver yet.
